Bank of France Set to Raise GDP Forecasts on Economic Resilience
France’s central bank is likely to raise growth forecasts for this year and next as the economy continues to show resilience to political turmoil, Governor Francois Villeroy de Galhau said.
The Bank of France’s current predictions for expansion of 0.7% in 2025 and 0.9% in 2026 are now minimums, he told TFI on Wednesday after an upbeat monthly report on activity released the previous day. The survey had indicated that the economy is proving so robust that it may end up growing “slightly” in the final three months of the year.
