Mavericks GM Fired After 3-8 Start, Fan Uproar Over Doncic Trade

The Dallas Mavericks fired General Manager Nico Harrison, ending a tumultuous tenure in which he traded away the team’s star player, Luka Doncic, in one of the most controversial deals in National Basketball Association history.

“I understand the profound impact these difficult last several months have had,” Mavericks Governor Patrick Dumont said in an open letter to fans on Tuesday. “When the results don’t meet expectations, it’s my responsibility to act.”
