Philippine Stocks Fall to Three-Year Low as Growth Slows Sharply
Philippine stocks fell to multi-year lows after a sharp slowdown in economic growth deepened pessimism toward one of this year’s worst-performing markets.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange Index dropped 1.3% to the lowest since September 2022, after gross domestic product expansion for the third quarter came in far below estimates. That extends losses for the gauge to nearly 12% so far this year.
