Ex-Commerzbank Analyst Jailed Over ‘Fictitious’ Harassment Claim
A former Commerzbank AG analyst was sentenced to 20 months in jail for making what a judge said were false sexual harassment allegations against a colleague and knowingly lying to courts to get compensation after he lost his job.
Damilare Ajao, who worked as a compliance analyst, “knew that what he was saying was fictitious,” High Court Judge Martin Spencer said in a ruling Friday in London. Commerzbank sued Ajao for contempt of court after his allegations were found to be false by an Employment Tribunal.
