Apple TV Service Suffers Outage on ‘Pluribus’ Premiere

Apple Inc.’s streaming service went down briefly for some users Thursday night shortly after the debut of the widely anticipated Pluribus, a new series from the creator of Breaking Bad.

Users across the US and Canada reported the service crashing from around 10:30 p.m. ET, not long after the first two episodes of the new drama were made available to stream. They surged to nearly 13,000 reports on Downdetector before Apple updated its status pages to acknowledge the outage. The company had marked the matter resolved within about an hour and a half.
