Vodacom Ex-Employee Settlement Seen Costing Around $32 Million

Vodacom Group Ltd.’s settlement of a former employee’s claim for compensation is expected to cost the company about 550 million rand ($32 million), according to Bloomberg Intelligence.

The Johannesburg-based company on Thursday flagged a smaller rise in profit after it settled a long-running dispute with an ex-staffer who sought a payout for a popular call-back service he proposed more than two decades ago.
