JuJu Watkins Becomes Sports Team Owner While in College

University of Southern California women’s basketball superstar JuJu Watkins has bought a minority stake in the NWSL’s Boston Legacy FC, marking one of the first cases of a college athlete becoming an investor in a sports franchise.

“When you’re talking about equity, those opportunities don’t come around as often as endorsements so this raised my eyebrows and piqued my interest even more,” Watkins said in an interview.
