The US Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay Wednesday for flights inbound to Newark Liberty International Airport due to air traffic control staffing constraints.

The delay is scheduled to remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. New York time, with planes waiting about 68 minutes on average, according to an FAA advisory.
