Germany’s wind generation is forecast to drop to its lowest level in a year later this week, after hitting a record for October, as a high-pressure system moves in.

Generation is expected to fall to around 1.2 gigawatts on Sunday — about 1/10th of the average so far this year — according to Bloomberg models. High-pressure conditions will suppress both wind and solar production, said Andrew Pedrini, a meteorologist at Atmospheric G2.
