Syria’s leader Ahmed Al-Sharaa will visit Washington DC this month and is expected to meet President Donald Trump to sign an agreement to formally join a global anti-terror coalition, according to the US special envoy to Damascus.

Sharaa will ratify his country’s formal joining of the 89-member Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS on Nov. 10, Tom Barrack told reporters on Saturday at a security conference in Bahrain. Barrack, who is the US ambassador to Turkey, is also the special envoy for Lebanon.
