Macau’s gaming revenue rose 15.9% in October, exceeding analyst expectations as the world’s biggest gambling hub experienced a rebound in players after China’s Golden Week holiday was foiled by bad weather.

Gross gaming revenue reached 24.09 billion patacas ($3.01 billion), according to data released by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau on Saturday. The median analyst estimate was for a 11.7% year-on-year increase, 91% of the pre-pandemic level in 2019.
