Aisin Rises to Record as Automaker Clients Ramp Up Output
Auto parts maker Aisin Corp. rose to a record after second quarter operating profit surged, driven by the rise of powertrain unit sales as automaker clients look to ramp up output.
Operating profit for the quarter more than doubled to ¥48.2 billion ($313 million), beating the analyst consensus of ¥36.5 billion. It reiterated its full-year profit outlook, according to a Friday statement.
