Sweden Economic Recovery Takes Hold in Sentiment, Spending Data

Sweden’s economic turnaround from a three-year standstill is building, according to latest confidence and spending data.

An overall economic sentiment indicator from the National Institute of Economic Research, which includes business and consumer responses, rose to 100.8 from 97.8 last month, hitting triple figures for the first time since July 2022, according to a release on Thursday. Retail sales edged up for a fourth month in September, exceeding analyst projections, separate figures showed.
