Raw Sugar Extends Decline to Hit Lowest Level in Five Years

Raw sugar futures in New York sank to their lowest level in five years amid mounting forecasts of a global supply glut.

The most actively-traded contract fell as much as 2.4% to 14.07 cents a pound on Thursday, reaching the lowest since October 2020. Raw sugar futures have slid 14% this month, putting the market on track for the biggest monthly drop since December 2023.
