ECB to Stay on Hold Before Year-End Forecasts: Decision Guide
The European Central Bank is set to keep interest rates unchanged for a third meeting, awaiting year-end projections that will offer greater clarity on harm caused by trade tensions and France’s fiscal crisis.
The deposit rate will be held at 2% on Thursday, according to all respondents in a Bloomberg survey. Analysts expect borrowing costs to remain at that level through 2027 — unless December’s updated outlook reveals a significant undershoot in inflation.
