Lithuania Closes Border With Belarus Citing ‘Hybrid Attack’

Lithuania closed its border with Belarus for a month as the premier denounced disruptions to air traffic caused by smugglers’ balloons as a hybrid attack.

The government shut the last two frontier crossings that had been open until Nov. 30, as the Baltic nation seeks to pressure Belarus to tackle illegal cigarette contraband flows across the border.
