JPMorgan Chase & Co. tapped longtime investment banking executive Jay Horine to oversee its $1.5 trillion national economic security commitment.

He will become head of the effort, which JPMorgan has dubbed the “Security and Resiliency Initiative,” effective immediately, according to an internal memo Tuesday from global banking co-heads John Simmons and Filippo Gori. Horine had been co-leading global investment banking coverage alongside Dorothee Blessing, who will now be sole head of that business.
