Grubhub is partnering with Instacart to offer grocery ordering, helping it catch up with delivery rivals DoorDash Inc. and Uber Technologies Inc.

Some Grubhub users can now order groceries from Instacart’s network of 1,000-plus merchants without leaving the Grubhub app or website, with nationwide availability expected by the end of the month, the companies said in a statement Tuesday. Grubhub customers will also be able to order from select pharmacies through this partnership in the coming months.
