Spanish Stocks Hit First Record in 18 Years as Banks Rally
Spain’s benchmark equity index topped an all-time closing high last seen in 2007 as a bank-led rally supercharged gains.
The Ibex 35 gauge rose as much as 0.7% to hit 15,978 points on Monday, above the previous record set before the global financial crisis. Spanish stocks are up 38% in 2025, outpacing peers as investors remain confident the advance has further to run.
