Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah issued policy directives aimed at spurring investment and job creation, including tax changes and streamlined processes for issuing visas and starting new businesses.

The plans include five-year visas for some investors and expanded immigration facilities at the main airport in the capital, Windhoek, to ease congestion. Tax changes will aim to align Namibia with global trends and increase the tax-to-GDP ratio, Nandi-Ndaitwah said at an event in the city on Friday.
