VW Supplier Secures Nexperia Chip Substitutes in Standoff

Valeo SE has found replacements for chips supplied by Nexperia for almost its entire automotive product range, indicating industry progress on efforts to ward off looming output stoppages.

The French auto supplier, which counts Volkswagen AG, BMW AG and Stellantis NV as customers according to data compiled by Bloomberg, has found and validated other chips for more than 95% of its broad suite of components, Chief Financial Officer Édouard de Pirey said on a call late Thursday.
