European Stocks Advance on US Inflation Data; NatWest Jumps
European stocks gained after US consumer prices rose at a slower-than-expected pace in September, keeping the Federal Reserve on track to lower interest rates next week.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index closed 0.2% higher, after falling as much as 0.3% earlier on Friday. Technology shares outperformed, with Lagercrantz Group Aktiebolag gaining 7.8% after third-quarter results, while real estate was the biggest laggard.
