Thailand’s Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow said his country will sign a “joint declaration” with Cambodia to defuse a border dispute that escalated into deadly clashes earlier this year.

Thailand has made substantial progress on its key demands during talks with Cambodia, including the withdrawal of heavy weapons and landmine clearance from border areas, the crackdown on transnational cyber scam operations, and the relocation of Cambodian nationals encroaching on Thai territory, Sihasak told reporters Thursday in Bangkok.
