Egypt Reshuffles LNG Cargoes as Israel Gas Field Shuts for Work
Egypt is seeking to bring forward import of some LNG cargoes to this month as maintenance work at a major field in Israel cuts supplies to the North African country.
The Tamar gas field will be shut down on Wednesday for maintenance for about 12 days, the project’s operator Chevron Corp. said in a statement. In preparation, state-owned Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. has asked its liquefied natural gas suppliers to bring forward two previously contracted cargoes for delivery to this month, according to people with knowledge of the mater, who asked not to be identified discussing private talks.
