Ukraine is deploying around 9,000 drones per day to fend off Russia’s ongoing assaults, according to a top Ukrainian military official, a figure that underscores just how crucial drones have become to the ongoing war.

That number includes bombers, intelligence and logistics drones, Ivan Pavlenko, chief of the electronic warfare directorate of Ukraine’s armed forces, said via webstream at the Cipher Brief conference on Tuesday.
