Molson Coors Beverage Co. is eliminating about 9% of its salaried jobs in the Americas, or roughly 400 roles, as it focuses on core beer brands and accelerates expansion into nonalcoholic and energy drinks.

The cuts, expected to be completed by the end of the year, mark the latest effort by the brewer to reignite growth amid softening demand for alcoholic beverages. Like many in the industry, Molson Coors is looking beyond booze to bolster sales.
