Namibia Confirms First Mpox Case, Declares National Outbreak

Namibia has declared an Mpox outbreak after confirming its first case in the coastal town of Swakopmund, health authorities said on Sunday.

The patient, who recently traveled outside the country within the southern Africa region, is in stable condition and receiving treatment in isolation, the Ministry of Health and Social Services said in an emailed statement.
