Chilean presidential candidate Jose Antonio Kast would cut $21 billion in government expenditures if elected, according to his economic adviser.

The aide, Jorge Quiroz, told El MercurioBloomberg Terminal that would include $6 billion in the first 18 months, adding that social spending wouldn’t be touched. Kast hasn’t specified how he’d cut spending, prompting criticism from experts and politicians.
