Turkey Plans to Supply Arms to Syria, Seeks Wider Deal on Kurds
Turkey plans to supply military equipment to Syria and conclude a deal that would allow it to target Kurdish militants operating along the entire Syrian border, Turkish officials said.
Plans include the supply of armored cars, drones, artillery, missiles and air-defense systems in the next several weeks, the officials said, asking not to be identified by name because of the sensitivities of the matter. The equipment will be deployed in northern Syria, avoiding stoking tensions with Israel in the southwest, they said.
