ECB’s Rehn Urges Joint Financing of European Defense Spending

Europe must become stronger and more dynamic both in security and economically if it really wants to raise the euro’s international status, European Central Bank Governing Council member Olli Rehn said.

“The euro’s global weight ultimately depends on the vitality of the economy behind it,” the Finish central-bank chief said Friday in Washington. “That is why the path forward rests on three key priorities: defense, dynamism, and digital sovereignty.”
