ECB’s Nagel Warns Market Concentration Could Trigger Correction
European Central Bank Governing Council member Joachim Nagel warned that financial markets should be watched carefully for signs of instability.
“It is undeniable that, in terms of stock market performance, we are seeing a concentration on just over a handful of companies whose valuations are driving the markets,” he said. “If there is such a relatively high concentration on a few companies and a lot of hope is pinned on AI, then we need to keep an eye on what this would mean if it were to lead to corrections.”
