BYD Recalls 115,000 Cars On Battery Issue, Raising Quality Fear

BYD Co., the world’s largest EV manufacturer, is recalling over 115,000 vehicles in its crucial home market due to technical defects, raising concerns about quality control in the Chinese giant’s rush to keep costs down.

The two separate recalls, which target both hybrid and pure-electric models, follow official investigations by the State Administration for Market Regulation, according to a statement published by the regulatory body on Friday.
