South African President Suspends Intelligence Head Pending Probe

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa suspended Inspector-General of Intelligence Imtiaz Fazel, pending an investigation by parliament into his conduct.

The probe comes after parliament’s Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence received an unspecified complaint, the presidency said in a statement late Wednesday.
