Fintech Glow Raises $65 Million Backed by Apollo, ‘Cable Cowboy’ Malone
Phone financing company Glow Services Corp. has raised $65 million in equity funding from backers including cable billionaire John Malone and Apollo Global Management Inc., as it looks to expand into new markets and develop new products.
The funding values the fintech at $325 million, the company said. Apollo is the biggest investor with a $35 million tranche, while existing backer Citigroup Inc. has supplied $15 million for the round. Liberty Media Corp. chairman Malone — nicknamed the “Cable Cowboy” for his pioneering role in cable TV — has put $10 million into the company via his investment company Silver Spur Capital.
