Farage Says ‘Gotta’ Down Russian Jets in Harder Putin Line
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage criticized Vladimir Putin as irrational and backed shooting down Russian jets that enter NATO airspace, following criticism that his views on Moscow could threaten his bid to become prime minister.
Farage said in an interview with Bloomberg’s The Mishal Husain Show that he would support spending frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine and could even deploy British troops to the country as part of a United Nations peacekeeping force if he became prime minister. Asked what he would do if Russian jets crossed into allied airspace, Farage replied: “Gotta shoot them down.”
