Tekscend Shares Rise 13% From IPO Price in Tokyo Trading Debut
Tekscend Photomask Corp. shares gained 13% in their debut on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Thursday after the maker of semiconductor material concluded a $1 billion initial public offering last week.
The stock opened at ¥3,570 before paring gains and closing at ¥3,380. In the offering, the shares were sold at ¥3,000 apiece in a ¥156.6 billion ($1 billion) deal, including an overallotment. The sale attracted global investors such as Qatar Investment Authority and trails only JX Advanced Metals Corp.’s IPO in terms of scale in the country in 2025.
