The International Monetary Fund’s chief plans to travel to Ukraine in a show of support for the war-battered nation, bolstering Kyiv’s ambition to secure a new loan package in the fourth year of Russia’s war.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva intends to visit, though the exact time needs to be determined, the IMF said in response to questions from Bloomberg News. She was last in Kyiv in February, 2023, about a year into the war.
