Ex-Point72’s Oliver Briars Joins Hedge Fund LMR to Trade Stocks

Point72 Asset Management money manager Oliver Briars has left billionaire Steve Cohen’s multistrategy hedge fund to join rival LMR Partners, according to people familiar with the matter.

Briars will start at LMR in December and trade consumer stocks, said one of the people, who all asked not to be identified because the details are private. He had previously worked at billionaire Ken Griffin’s Citadel as well.
