Developer China Vanke Co. has made delayed interest payments on onshore debt that it had previously skipped, according to people familiar with the matter, potentially easing tensions with creditors.

Vanke made the payments on private debt including loans in late September, the people said, asking not to be identified as the matter is private. The payments came after the company held talks with major domestic creditors earlier that month to cut borrowing costs on private debt worth tens of billions of yuan, Bloomberg reported earlier.
