AI Startup Poolside Teams With CoreWeave on Massive Data Center
Poolside, an AI coding startup that only launched its first product a year ago, is partnering with CoreWeave Inc. to develop what would be one of the largest data centers in the US, the latest sign of an investment frenzy in infrastructure for artificial intelligence.
The new facility, which Poolside has dubbed Project Horizon, will be built in West Texas and eventually have 2 gigawatts of capacity, or enough to power roughly 1.5 million homes on average. Poolside plans to start by building out 250 megawatts of capacity that will begin to come online by late 2026, with CoreWeave serving as an anchor tenant for the facility.
