China’s Wuhan to Redevelop Shuttered Honda Factory for Housing
Wuhan plans to demolish a shuttered Honda Motor Co. factory and convert the land for housing, underscoring the central Chinese city’s push to find new uses for idle auto plants as overcapacity weighs on the country’s car industry.
The 105-hectare site will be divided into 19 plots, mostly for residential use, with some areas designated for mixed-use developments combining offices and apartments, according to a zoning plan published Monday. The public can submit feedback on the proposal until Nov. 12.
