US President Donald Trump lobbied for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to receive a pardon that would offer a reprieve from his ongoing corruption trial during a speech Monday at the Knesset.

“Hey, I have an idea, Mr. President, why don’t you give him a pardon. Give him a pardon, c’mon,” Trump said to Israeli President Isaac Herzog, who was sitting nearby.
