Genting Jumps 7% After $1.6 Billion Offer for Malaysian Unit
Genting Bhd. shares rose by the most in more than three years after the gaming firm made a 6.7 billion ringgit ($1.6 billion) offer to take its Malaysian unit private.
The stock climbed as much as 7% on Tuesday, the most since 2022, as trading resumed. Meanwhile, Genting Malaysia Bhd. surged as much as 10% to 2.36 ringgit, reversing losses for the year.
