UK to Produce Interceptor Drones With Ukraine to Counter Shaheds
Russia launched almost 6,900 drones at Ukraine in September, more than half of which were Shaheds.
Source: AFP/Getty ImagesUkraine and the UK plan to start joint production of interceptor drones to combat the swarms of Shahed-type unmanned aircraft launched by Russia on a daily basis, causing severe damage to civilian and energy infrastructure.
The project, called “Octopus,” is currently being negotiated and may be implemented in coming months, according to the UK’s Minister of State for Defense Readiness and Industry Luke Pollard.
