Travelers entering Europe face new digital controls this weekend that risk leading to increased delays at the border.

The European Union’s new Entry/Exit System is due to come into force on Sunday for non-EU nationals entering the Schengen zone comprising 25 EU countries along with Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. To minimize disruption, the system will be phased in over six months.
