The US and Finland agreed to a deal that would see Washington aquire as many as 11 icebreakers to kickstart the expansion of the American fleet as great-power rivalry is heating up in the Arctic.

Four vessels will be built in Finland and seven in the US, President Donald Trump said as he welcomed his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb in the White House on Thursday.
