Starmer Sees No Future Role in UK Government for Peter Mandelson

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he can see no return to frontline politics for Peter Mandelson, a month after firing the Labour grandee as his US ambassador.

Starmer was responding to journalists’ questions during a visit to India, where he was traveling with a business delegation to promote trade between the two countries. Asked about the possibility of future appointments for his former envoy, he said: “not in a government role.”
