Sweden’s Slower Inflation Bolsters Case for Steady Key Rate
Sweden’s core inflation eased for a third straight month, backing the plan for the nation’s central bank to keep interest rates in place until late next year.
The CPIF inflation rate excluding energy fell to 2.7% last month, the lowest level since May, according to a preliminary release from Statistics Sweden on Wednesday. The outcome was in line with the Riksbank’s projection, while the median forecast in a Bloomberg survey of analysts was 2.8%.
