Copper Touches New High With Mine Supply Disruptions Stacking Up
Copper rose to a fresh 16-month high in London as a downgrade to production forecasts at a key Teck Resources Ltd. mine added to this year’s heavy slate of supply disruptions.
Prices rose as much as 0.5% to $10,815 a ton on the London Metal Exchange, edging higher after Teck lowered its guidance for the Quebrada Blanca copper mine in Chile as part of a wider operational review.
