Novo Ex-CEO Jorgensen Gets New Job at Danish Health-Care Lobby
Novo Nordisk A/S’s former chief executive officer, Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen, has landed a new job as chair of a health-care lobby group, marking a comeback for one of Denmark’s most high-profile corporate figures.
The maker of Wegovy and Ozempic surprised the market in May when it ousted Fruergaard Jorgensen, following a slump in the Novo share price and growing competition in the lucrative US obesity market. At Healthcare Denmark the 58-year-old Dane will lead an effort to bridge the public and private health-care sectors to help the Nordic country expand its position as one Europe’s leading life-science nations.
